After hosting television shows in Paris, Raphaël Pathé became an active member of ASmallWorld, an exclusive social networking platform founded in 2004 by Swedish count Erik Wachtmeister. Designed as a private community for the global elite, ASmallWorld was a luxury social network before Facebook, allowing affluent, like-minded individuals to connect, exchange tips on jet-set destinations, and organize private events.

In 2007, Raphaël moved back to London, where he quickly became a sought-after nightclub promoter, curating an exclusive crowd he called Europosh—a refined mix of Italian lawyers, French nobility, bankers, and cosmopolitan jet-setters. Recognizing the power of music in shaping the atmosphere of his events, he transitioned into DJing and began hosting his own private soirées in London’s most prestigious clubs. His events became known for attracting the right clientele: sophisticated, stylish, and connected.

Inspired by the elegance of Avenue Montaigne, one of Paris’s most luxurious streets, Raphaël created an event concept blending high society, music, and exclusivity. He named it The Sound Of Luxury®, a registered brand in the UK, symbolizing the ultimate fusion of refined European culture and cutting-edge sound.

His DJing career quickly gained international recognition, leading to collaborations with prestigious luxury hotel brands such as W Hotels and Dorchester Collection. Raphaël was flown around the world to bring The Sound Of Luxury® experience to exclusive venues, further cementing his reputation as a purveyor of elite entertainment.

This global journey eventually brought him to St. Barts, where he was captivated by the island’s breathtaking beauty and unparalleled luxury. Inspired, he began filming his adventures in high-end hotels and exotic destinations, pioneering a lifestyle-driven content approach that predated TikTok and the modern influencer era. His unique perspective and ability to blend entertainment with luxury experiences positioned him as one of the first influencers in the space, long before social media evolved into what it is today.

Through his worldwide travels, Raphaël Pathé developed a vast network of friends, clients, and collaborators across multiple countries, including Switzerland, the United States, Italy, Spain, and Qatar. The Sound Of Luxury® became more than just a music concept—it was a global brand, a lifestyle, and a passport into the world of the international elite.

Walking in the footsteps of his idols—Parisian nightlife icon Régine, who pioneered the concept of high-end discotheques across the world, and Studio 54 co-founder Steve Rubell, who transformed nightlife into a cultural movement—Raphaël Pathé continues to carry the legacy of exclusive entertainment into the modern era.

But his passion for nightlife and performance runs even deeper, rooted in his family history. His grandfather, Benoît, owned a grand ballroom theatre near Strasbourg, in the east of France—a magical space where young Raphaël would play on stage with his friends, dreaming of one day transforming it into a glamorous nightclub. Whenever he shared this vision, people would frown upon him, dismissing the idea as impossible. Yet, the dream of creating spaces where music, luxury, and the right people come together never left him.

Even as a child, music and spectacle were central to his world. When his father was away, his mother would play disco music at full volume through a designer, tailor-made sound system, filling their home with energy and rhythm. Raphaël and his friends would explore the attic, digging through vintage costumes before making grand entrances down a white marble staircase, perfectly timed to the beats of disco. Obsessed with the special effects and dazzling lights he saw on television, he secretly dreamed of owning a nightclub one day—a place where music, fashion, and spectacle could merge into an unforgettable experience.
