Modeling, acting, and hosting television shows in Paris, Raphaël Pathé became an active member of ASmallWorld — an exclusive, invitation-only social networking platform founded in 2004 by Swedish Count Erik Wachtmeister. Conceived as a private community for the global elite, ASmallWorld was a luxury social network well before Facebook, enabling affluent, like-minded individuals to connect, share insights on jet-set destinations, and curate private events around the world.

In 2007, Raphaël moved to London, where he quickly became a sought-after nightclub promoter, curating an exclusive crowd he called Europosh—a refined mix of Italian lawyers, French nobility, bankers, and cosmopolitan jet-setters. Recognizing the power of music in shaping the atmosphere of his events, he transitioned into DJing and began hosting his own private soirées in London’s most prestigious clubs. His events became known for attracting the right clientele: sophisticated, stylish, and connected.

Inspired by the glamour of Avenue Montaigne in Paris, where haute couture meets heritage, Raphaël envisioned an event concept that would merge music, exclusivity, and elevated ambiance. He named it The Sound Of Luxury® — a phrase that would soon echo from the world's most refined destinations to its most discerning audiences.

From the beginning, the brand attracted international recognition. Raphaël’s DJ performances quickly evolved into full-scale immersive experiences, leading to collaborations with iconic hospitality names such as W Hotels Worldwide and Dorchester Collection. The Sound Of Luxury® was hosted in prestigious venues around the globe, including W Santiago (Chile), W Silicon Valley (San Jose), and W Hollywood, transforming luxury environments into unforgettable musical journeys.

The brand’s sonic identity became so sought after that Australian fashion label Supré® commissioned a custom Sound Of Luxury® mashup compilation, broadcast in all their retail stores. In a full-circle creative milestone, an entire album of Raphaël Pathé’s music creations was named The Sound Of Luxury® — a celebratory body of work, with the title track narrating the brand’s origin and cultural essence.

To further expand the brand’s storytelling, Raphaël created TheSoundOfLuxury.TV, a visual lifestyle format. A pilot episode was filmed in Paris, Santiago, St Barts and Doha, showcasing Raphaël living the brand he created — traveling the world, staying in the most luxurious hotels, and performing intimate sets for exclusive guests. The show blends travel, music, fashion, and elegant escapism, capturing the spirit of The Sound Of Luxury® in motion.

But the vision runs deeper than modern nightlife — it’s rooted in family legacy. Raphaël is the descendant of the famed Pathé family, pioneers of cinema and sound. His grandfather, Benoît, once owned a grand ballroom theatre near Strasbourg, where young Raphaël would perform for friends, dreaming of turning it into a glamorous nightclub. Though dismissed at the time, that dream endured — and became the foundation for his life's work.

Growing up in a home where music was ritual — disco classics playing from tailor-made speakers while costumes were pulled from attics — Raphaël developed a sense for drama, elegance, and energy. He and his friends would dance down a white marble staircase in theatrical fashion, staging the kind of living spectacle that would later define his adult productions.
